What does an Age-Friendly Columbus look like?

Our city will be a place for people of all ages and abilities.

When Age-Friendly Columbus is complete, our city will be a place for people of all ages and abilities. A city where everyone is active, no matter their age, and living a high quality of life. Where neighborhoods thrive on community support and have innovative transportation and housing options.

Over the next two years, we are leading an assessment and strategic planning process to ensure Columbus is ready for the aging Baby Boomer generation. An opportunity to keep our residents, of all ages, and to tap into the economic force that is the Age 50+ crowd.

We will ensure that the Columbus region continues to be an economic engine in Ohio, and nationally. All of this is done through our 115 dedicated subcommittee members, Advisory Council, and most importantly, our Age 50+ residents.

If you are willing to share our announcement, we have a pre-written paragraph that can be used in your newsletter, website, or via social media. Please feel free to circulate the information provided below. Thank you for your support and partnership!

On September 7th, Age-Friendly Columbus will be releasing its city-wide survey to residents 50 and older. If you are randomly selected to receive a mailed survey, please take the time to reply.

Your response is very important to us as we want to ensure our strategic plan is informed and guided by our older residents. If you have any questions for comments, please contact Katie White at 614-233-4167 or email [email protected]
